The History
This institution was previously called Andili Community High School, which started its formal education operation on in July 1966 with pioneering students of 17 male , 12 female and a total of 29 students. Its creation was through the collaborative effort of the parents , Barrio Council of Andili headed by Barrio Captain Celerino Candontol Sr., Head Teacher Mr. Marcelino Landazabal, as approved and supported by the Municipal Council of Mawab headed by Mayor Ruperto C. Gonzaga.
The enrolment of Andili Community High School increased from school year to school year. Until in the mid of 1980’s to the late of 1980’s, the Elementary School Principals in the person of Mrs. Venus M. Aleman and Mr. Pedro C. Saymo started to worked-out for the nationalization of Andili Community High School and in their time the name of the school was changed to Andili Barangay High School. Mrs. Aleman worked for the Deed of Donation of the school site from the owner of the land, Miss Pastora Rosillas and younger brother Mr. Delfin Rosillas.
When Mrs. Aleman retired, Mr. Saymo assumed the principal ship of Andili Elementary School where the management and the instructional leadership of Andili Barangay High was under his care. He then continue to comply the requirements for its nationalization by working-out the plantilla, budget and other adjustments, with the support of Mrs. Sancismera E. Togonon, the Teacher In Charge of Secondary Teachers in the same school campus of Andili Elemenrary School, where high school classes took place on the vacant (borrowed) rooms of the elementary graders.
Mr. Saymo transferred station in the early 1990’s, leaving behind to Mrs. Togonon all the responsibilities for the secondary education of Andili. With the courage, capabilities and guts of Mrs. Togonon and with the support of the parents, teachers, Barangay Council of Andili , and Municipal Council of Mawab headed by Municipal Mayor Atty. Benjamin P. Jampayas, she pushed through the legacy of working-out the nationalization of the barangay high school.
Mrs. Togonon , became a Designate School In Charge of Andili Barangay High School by virtue of the Schools Division Superintendent of Davao del Norte with 9 secondary item teachers to lead and managed . She worked-out all the transactions since 1990, and with the series of all endorsements regarding the desire of the secondary school nationalization, it was finally approved in May 7, 1991, that Andili Barangay High School became Andili National High School. She is well-deserved to become a Secondary School Principal of Andili National High in 1995, and retired in 2002 with a lots of visible changes and improvements made including the acquisition of many school buildings grant from the SEDP, separation of land title of the school site from the elementary with due recognition of school site boundaries as attested by the above-mentioned donnĂ©e, and became part and parcel of the creation of Lorenzo S. Sarmiento Sr. National High School (a previous annex school to Andili NHS), it was also in her leadership’s credit , the dual creation of Nuevo Iloco High School Annex and Tuboran High School Annex of Andili NHS. Within her term too, the number of enrollees and number of teachers rose-up constantly despite of all odds. Basically the macro changed in the phase of history and physical appearance of Andili National High School originated from her time.
Mrs. Ana G. Castor Head Teacher III and one of the pioneering teachers of Andili National High School assumed the post of school leadership as School In Charge of Andili National High School in 2002 and viced the principal item of the school on October 18, 2004. She continued the legacy of instructional leadership and school management including the two annexes. Until in 2005, it was the mandate from the Division office that all annex schools shall be designated with School In Charge. The instructional leadership and school management of Mrs. Castor were focused on Andili National High School. With lots of seasoned teachers, and with the supports of all stakeholders, Andili National High continues to mark its name in terms of performance along with some big schools in the Division of Compostela Valley. With some mandated movements of personnel of Compostela Valley Division, Mrs. Castor transferred to Lorenzo SSSNHS on January 05, 2010.
Mrs. Wilma P. Damole one of the first nine (9) teachers of Andili Barangay High School, a fifteen years (15) classroom teachers of Andili National High School, and a Designate School In Charge of Nuevo Iloco National for barely four (4) years, Head Teacher III, viced the Principal I item of Mrs. Castor of the said school on January 06, 2010 to the present. She continues the legacy of instructional leadership and school management of Andili National High School with the support of all internal and external stakeholders. Its performance and improvement will be credited to the collaborative efforts and involvements of the teachers, students, parents, LGUs and private entities of the school community along the selfless leadership of the school head.
This history will then continue to engrave as the years goes by with the clients as the real evidence and proof of the services rendered by the school as a whole.
